The public association “The League of the Strong” is implementing the project “Centre of Inclusion Expertise” to increase the level of inclusivity and accessibility at all levels.
The Center has key tasks to support local self-government bodies in creating strategic documents that regulate community recovery and development. This includes ensuring inclusivity, accessibility, and the rights of people with disabilities. The project has three main parts: training for specialists, sociological research, and a communication campaign.
Our cooperation is focused on three main directions:
- Consultations with experts on inclusion, legislative analysis, and advocacy for representatives of local government bodies.
- Training on inclusivity for stakeholders, a course for trainers on adapting for people with visual impairments, and a course on website accessibility.
- Conducting a sociological study on the perception of disability in Ukrainian society and raising awareness about inclusion and accessibility.
This project was created by the public association “The League of the Strong” thanks to a grant received from the “Support for Civil Society Organizations (CSOs)” Program in Ukraine, within the financial support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Commonwealth Development of the United Kingdom. The program is implemented by Crown Agents in partnership with International Alert and in cooperation with Crown Agents in Ukraine. Advocating for the interests of people with disabilities and monitoring the observance of their rights during their residence.
