“The League of the Strong” is an associate member of the European Disability Forum.
The organization is a powerful voice for more than 100 million people with disabilities in Europe. We are committed to the mission, vision, and values of EDF because they are also an association of civil organizations for people with disabilities, but, unlike us, they work at the supranational level.
The European Disability Forum as an organization was created in 1996 by membership organizations to guarantee that the decisions adopted at the European level concerning people with disabilities were taken directly by people with disabilities. Since then, the organization had established regular advocacy channels communicating the necessity to adopt a decision or implement certain decisions in the environment of European institutions, in particular in the European Parliament, the European Commission, and the Council of the European Union.
