The charity organization «Inclusive Country Association» has created a platform called «Work!» where employers can post job openings, and people with disabilities can submit resumes and find jobs.
The main goal of the project is to improve the employment situation in the country and contribute to the inclusive reconstruction of Ukraine. Disability should not be a barrier to building a career, so «Work!» will help connect employers and potential candidates.
During the platform presentation, Daria Sydorenko, the Executive Director of «The League of the Strong» emphasized the importance of including people with disabilities in the open labor market.
«Informing businesses about the opportunities to hire people with disabilities and motivating employers through legislation is important. In our association, we are working on improving draft law 5344-d. Our amendments include the introduction of a social services system, compensation for arranging workplaces for people with disabilities who start their own business, and the possibility of receiving extra payment for wages when employing people with complex forms of disability», said Daria Sydorenko.
The job vacancies for PrivatBank, Auchan, Darnytsia, and Kyivstar have already been published on the platform.
The «Work!» platform was implemented by the founding organization of the «The League of the Strong», the «Inclusive Country Association» with financial support from the Abilis fund.
«The policy of equal employment opportunities is economically beneficial to our country and crucial for its European future. Therefore, I believe that the issue of employment and the protection of the rights of people with disabilities should become a priority in the process of rebuilding our country», noted Julia Resenchuk, the president of the «Inclusive Country Association».

In May 2023, 16 civil organizations advocating for the rights of people with disabilities supported a statement by the «The League of the Strong» regarding the reform of the employment sector.
