The Public Association «The League of the Strong» in cooperation with the company “Inclusive IT” is starting recruitment to the first course on web accessibility for persons with disabilities. Training is going to take place in the scope of implementing the project of the Centre of Inclusion Expertise. This was announced by the Executive Director of the Public Association «The League of the Strong» Daria Sydorenko.
«We are starting recruitment to the first course on web accessibility. First and foremost, the course is oriented at persons with disabilities who are willing to have a new occupation. The training course will start in the second half of September and is going to last for several months. Starting today it is possible to apply for participation in the course», said Daria Sydorenko, the Executive Director of the Public Association “League of the Strong”.
The course «Web accessibility» comprises 8 basic blocks which are divided into lessons on coding, issues on accessibility, and software platforms. In addition, the lessons on business and programming will be provided. For persons with disabilities with visual impairments, the programme is adapted for screen readers. Veterans, representatives of the public sector and IT companies can also apply for participation.

The Project “The Centre of Inclusion Expertise” has been founded by the Public Association “The League of the Strong” thanks to the grant from the Programme «Support to civil society organisations in Ukraine (CSO)» in Ukraine within the financial support of the Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Office of the United Kingdom.
