Representatives of 103 Ukrainian communities applied for assistance and expert consultations from the Centre of Inclusion Expertise. This was announced during the broadcast on «Suspilne. Sprotyv» by the Executive Director of the Public Association «The League of the Strong» Daria Sydorenko.
«So far, 103 applications have been submitted. The greatest part comes from the Odesa and Zaporizhzhia regions. We prioritized 9 regions for ourselves. At the same time, any community can apply and we are going to consider the application», – said during the broadcast the Executive Director of the Public Association «The League of the Strong» Daria Sydorenko.
Let us remind you that last week there was started search for 30 communities ready for inclusive recovery. The project involves the participation of the communities from the regions which have been the most impacted from destruction of the critical and social infrastructure and direct consequences of the occupation. The priority is given to territorial communities in 9 regions: Kherson, Chernihiv, Kyiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Odesa, and Mykolaiv. Each community will receive assistance and expert advice in the following areas:
– conducting analysis of inclusiveness and accessibility in the community (availability of normative legal acts and the level of accessibility in the community), the procedure of early involvement of people with disabilities in the formation of strategic directions (via consultations);
– provision of recommendations for recovery Strategies and Programmes;
– analysis of project documentation for reconstruction;
– educational training on inclusive reconstruction.
The Project “The Centre of Inclusion Expertise” was founded by the Public Association “The League of the Strong” thanks to a grant from the Programme «Support to Civil Society Organisations in Ukraine (CSO)» in Ukraine within the financial support of the Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Office of the United Kingdom.
