The policies and regulations governing the work of the League of the Strong team are based on UN standards. This was announced by Denys Savchenko, project manager of the League of the Strong NGO.

“Over the past 2 months, 8 new policies have been developed and implemented that regulate the union’s activities. This is one of the steps to increase the level of institutional development. The policies and other documents were based on UN standards. In the process, the best practices were adapted to the working conditions and strategic objectives of the organisation,” explained Denys Savchenko, project manager of the League of the Strong NGO.

One of the central documents is the Code of Conduct. It establishes the principles, values, and standards of behavior that should be used in the activities of the NGO. The Code is based on respect for human rights and human life as the highest value. The Code of Conduct also states that representatives of the union should act in the interests of the beneficiaries and show maximum professionalism.

Two key provisions on complaints and suggestions and investigation of violations create channels and tools for communication between the organisation and other stakeholders. Another provision on safety was developed based on the OCHA (UN) management principles. The Regulation establishes security standards in various areas of the League of the Strong’s activities and the procedure for dealing with multiple types of threats. The document addresses issues of personal, physical and digital security and environmental protection.

“The documents set standards in the following areas: security, behavior and communication. We should also mention a set of documents that created a feedback system to collect feedback and suggestions and prevent and respond to various types of possible violations within the organisation. In the future, we will work on developing and implementing new policies in the organisation,” added Denys Savchenko.
