Resolution of the National Forum on the Rights of People with Disabilities

At the National Forum on the Rights of People with Disabilities, held in Kyiv on December 3, a resolution was adopted. The resolution defines the priority areas of work for the upcoming year and has already been signed by over 40 organizations.

The resolution has identified three priority areas of work for the upcoming year:

  1. Changing the perception of disability in Ukrainian society, particularly the transition from sympathy to respect, increasing the visibility of people with disabilities, and improving communication skills with people with disabilities.
  2. Increasing opportunities for people with disabilities to find employment and work in the open labor market.
  3. Ensuring equal access for people with disabilities to premises and buildings, as well as services, including digital, informational, and administrative ones.
