The public association «The League of the Strong» and the charitable foundation «Foundation 03:00» are jointly announcing the first enrollment for the course «Fundamentals of adaptation for people with visual impairments». This training will be conducted as part of the project «Centre of Inclusion Expertise». This was announced by the executive director of «The League of the Strong» Daria Sydorenko.

«This program is for professionals who help individuals with visual impairments, whether they are military or civilian. Unfortunately, the number of people with disabilities is growing. We, along with our partners «Foundation 03:00», have created this project to assist those affected by military aggression», said Daria Sydorenko.

The course will take place in Kyiv from November 6 to December 15. It will have both online and offline sessions. Participants will learn how to work with people with visually impairments, focusing on topics such as social adaptation, comprehensive rehabilitation, using gadgets, and improving psychological well-being for those who have experienced physical injuries or combat trauma. For more information about the course, visit the «03:00 Foundation» website.

«Thanks to experts who take the course, individuals will receive help right from the moment of injury, which will aid in faster adjustment. Currently, the situation is often the opposite: people face different barriers and obstacles at each stage. This begins with being declared «incapable» and goes all the way to questions about fitting into society and being mobile», stated Alina Marnenko, the head of the charitable organization
«Foundation 03:00».

The educational program is free and designed for professionals who work with individuals with visual impairments, such as staff at rehabilitation centers, social workers, and employees of veterans organizations. To join the training complete the form: https://forms.gle/QgT1W1sT9JXLYVGN8
