On May 28, Dnipro will host a roundtable discussion entitled “Presentation of the results of the study on available rehabilitation and social services for people with disabilities in the Nikopol community.” This was reported by Daria Sydorenko, Executive Director of the NGO “The League of the Strong”.
“The situation with the provision of services to people with disabilities has worsened with the outbreak of a full-scale war. Another challenge is the lack of staff and destroyed social facilities, which makes services even less accessible. And a significant part of specialized services is provided by NGOs. We have analyzed the existing rehabilitation and social services for people with disabilities in the Nikopol community, a territory that suffers daily from the aggressor’s shelling,” – said Daria Sydorenko, executive director of “The League of the Strong” NGO.
Daria Sydorenko also noted that the results and recommendations of this study will serve as a basis for further development of international donor programs. They will be based on the actual needs for social and rehabilitation services for people with disabilities in the Nikopol community.
The participants of the roundtable will discuss the importance of social services for communities and the impact of the war on the availability of social services for people with disabilities in Dnipropetrovska oblast.
