The League of the Strong” has become a member of the Alliance for Gender-Responsive and Inclusive Recovery of Ukraine. The creation of the Alliance was announced during the Ukraine Recovery Conference in Berlin, Germany. This was reported by Daria Sydorenko, executive director of “The League of the Strong” NGO

“We are working on the development of public associations of people with disabilities, often led by women. We work together to break down barriers that prevent women from taking an active part in public life and ensure equality and accessibility for all. Membership in the newly created Alliance is a logical continuation of our activities. It will allow us to take an active part in the issues of gender equality and inclusiveness in the process of Ukraine’s recovery,” – said Daria Sydorenko, Executive Director of “The League of the Strong”.

The signatories of the Alliance commit themselves to eliminating inequality by integrating gender aspects into Ukraine’s recovery projects. This includes integrating gender aspects into project financing, ensuring women’s participation and representation in decision-making at all levels, and prioritizing women’s rights and needs.

The Alliance aims to unite the efforts of Ukrainian and international organizations to restore a better, more equal and inclusive society in Ukraine, where women’s voices will be heard.

Fifteen governments, international financial institutions, UN and EU agencies, civil society and private sector representatives are members of the Alliance for Gender Responsive and Inclusive Recovery of Ukraine.

The Alliance for Gender Responsive and Inclusive Recovery of Ukraine is led by UN Women in Ukraine in cooperation with the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development and the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
