The Centre of Inclusion Expertise, which functions in the scope of activities of the Public Association «The League of the Strong», is going to contribute to making development and recovery of the Kyiv region more accessible and inclusive. The experts of the Centre have already started collaboration with the Kyiv Regional Military Administration (RMA). This was told by the Executive Director of «The League of the Strong» Daria Sydorenko.

«We presented our Centre at the end of July. It has several important work directions, one of these implies assistance to the central executive bodies and local self-government bodies in formulating and realising the policies of accessibility. The experts of the Centre are ready to provide consultations on accessibility when forming the documents on recovery and development, as well as conduct the analysis of regulatory acts or building and reconstruction projects of the objects in terms of taking into account the norms and standards on accessibility. We have started the collaboration with Kyiv RMA in this exact way – by helping with improving accessibility of the objects at the stage of the project documentation», – explained Daria Sydorenko.

In particular, the engaged experts have already considered through the lens of accessibility the project documentation of the capital repair of the road in Soborna Street in Fastiv, renovation project of the central part of the city of Tetiiv – The Old Town – in Soborna Street, and also the objects of social infrastructure in Divychky Territorial Community: a project of capital repair of Stovpiahy secondary school and the project of capital repair of the club in the village of Yerkivtsi. The experts provided recommendations on increasing the level of compliance of the public objects with the accessibility and inclusivity norms.

It is necessary to note that all communities may have consultations on enhancing the level of accessibility and inclusiveness. To leave a request for the Centre of Inclusion Expertise, one should fill in the form https://forms.gle/9pxidqcFe16gRng16.
