A specialized training session on psychological support for veterans will take place on August 13 in Ternopil. The event will focus on the challenges of reintegration after returning from the front line, as well as effective communication strategies with individuals who have combat experience.
The event is organized by the Civic Union “League of the Strong” as part of the Empower Ukraine project, with the support of the German Federal Foreign Office (GFFO), CBM and the European Disability Forum (EDF).
The training session is open to professionals of veteran support centers as well as anyone interested in the topic of psychosocial adaptation and mental health support for veterans.
The session will be led by Liubov Kachura, a clinical psychologist and experienced psychotherapist specializing in mental health. She will share insights into psychological effects of stress, challenges of post-combat adaptation and effective approaches for providing psychological support to veterans and their families.
Participation is free of charge but prior registration is required.
