“League of the Strong” Provides Assistive Devices to Over 600 People in Three Ukrainian Regions

The public association the “League of the Strong” continues to support people with disabilities, as well as veterans, the elderly, and internally displaced persons, by providing essential assistive devices through the Empower Ukraine: Disability Rights project. Over 10 months of the project, 600 beneficiaries from Ivano-Frankivsk, Ternopil, and Cherkasy regions received a total of 968 assistive devices. This was reported by David Davtian, the project manager for “League of the Strong.”

“For over 10 months, our organization has been providing assistance in the Ivano-Frankivsk, Ternopil, and Cherkasy regions. We strive to equip each beneficiary with tools that enhance their independence and mobility, despite the difficult circumstances our country is facing. We extend our gratitude to our partners for supporting this project. Their contributions enable us to continue our work and improve the lives of those in need,” emphasizes David Davtian, project manager of the “League of the Strong.”

The project supplies a range of assistive devices, including mobility aids such as crutches, canes, and wheelchairs, as well as tools for measuring blood pressure and blood sugar levels, and orthopedic insoles.

This assistance is part of the Empower Ukraine initiative, supported by financial contributions from the German Federal Foreign Office (GFFO), CBM, and the European Disability Forum.
